My favourite movie is named "Ya No Estoy Aquí" (No One Knows I'm Here).
This is a Mexican film that has been commented from different trenches since it shows values and specific problems of a territory. The film portrays the life of Ulises Samperio, a young man who leads a band that identifies with the Kolombia Regia culture. The story unfolds in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Monterrey, located on the outskirts of the city. All these values take on an important weight when the main character has to flee to New York City due to a situation that put him and his family at risk. In this way, throughout his stay in an unknown territory, Ulises experiences various moments where he is discriminated against because of his appearance and shows a deep sense of longing for all those things that made him happy. Even though he tries hardly to stay, he understand that USA is not his happy place.
Finally, and after failing on the other side of the border, Ulises decides to return home, where everything has changed for the worse and half of his friends have been murdered. The movie have been awarded in México and abroad with different awards and nominations.
